Rex and Rob Ryan talk. A lot. They boast. They talk trash. And ultimately, they annoy the piss out of me.
Thankfully, it seems karma is onto them this year. Every time either one of them has run their mouths this year their respective teams have lost the following week.
Last night, another miracle by Tim Tebow led to a Broncos victory over Rex Ryan’s Jets. Asked for his thoughts on the game (why anyone even cares what he thinks baffles me) Rex’s brother Ryan had this to say:
“I don’t like it because it’s college football. We’re getting a lot of two tight ends blocking for empty sets. Who would have ever thought that? This is the NFL. Those teams don’t win.”
Well, Rob, you are very obviously wrong (again) because the Broncos did win. Moreover, they’re 4-1 since Tim Tebow took over as the starting quarterback for the Broncos. So the option offense can work in the NFL. Now, how long it will be before defenses figure out how to stop it is a discussion for another time. After all, we don’t see much of the wildcat anymore, do we?
It’s a shame that people keep putting microphones in front of these two idiots. They are definitely good coaches, but they sure don’t know when not to talk.
