Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos have hijacked the flow of NFL news this year. They were 1-4 when Tebow was handed the reigns to the Broncos offense and they are 6-1 since. They lead the AFC West via a tie-breaker over the Raiders.
The fans that clamored for Tebow to start have gone crazy. I’ve seen photos of fans with #15 jerseys that have Jesus’ name on the back. A photo fad called “Tebowing” has been born. John Elway has been crucified in Denver for not committing to Tebow as the franchise quarterback.
And now, we’ve reached an all-time low in Tebowmania. After only 10 career starts for Tebow, a Denver fan has tattooed “Tebow Time” above a centaur wearing a Broncos helmet on what looks like his knee.
If Tebow loses every game he starts for the rest of his career this guy will be stuck with an embarrassing tattoo on his leg. Cynical as I am, I’m still occasional stunned by humanity’s stupidity.
